I cannot find any monitors.xml file - neither in my Ubuntu 11.04 set up

I agree with Nick. It is essential that menu shortcuts can be disabled
in order to deliver Alt+ key combinations to the process running in
the terminal. It used to be possible to disable "Show Menubar" to that
effect, but with Unity and the external application menu
(UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=libappmenu.so)

I overlooked the "Enable Menu Access Shortcuts" setting in the "Keyboard
Shortcuts" dialog. Now that I found it, it does seem to work (for me)
and is remembered across terminal sessions. I was used to using the

This bug still exists in Oneiric 11.10. Along with other icons, notably
the Zoom In/Out and Normal Size in the Nautilus View menu. Going on two
years without packaging these icons and it would be nice if they were
included.

associated with libreoffice/openoffice AND it can be successfully opened
with file-roller (as docx files are zip files). But on Oneiric the file

updated from 2.6.35-28 to 2.6.35-30 and on reboot was unable to login to

Once I open a Nautilus file browsing window, then close it, then try to open it
again, it does not open. The panel's 3D effect disappear

This may be related to bug #674876 because the problem disappears after
removing Ubuntu One, but I am not sure if these two bugs are actually

I want to navigate the windows partitions (NTFS) and Nautilus is not
doing anything when I click select them. If I manually right click on
the NTFS partitions and try to mount them, I get the same action (none).
