Running Natty on Intel DH55TC. After enabling screensaver, screen
freezes, and I have to power down to restart. Also system fans have
started to run faster at the same time. Will disable screensaver and
report back.

I don't get how they possibly missed this while testing 11.04 this issue
was one of the first things I noticed within 10 minutes of use. That and
the issue with multi display mode using ATI in Unity duping the gnome-
panel. Seriously these issues are making me think it's time to switch
distros for
MAbeeTT thanks a lot for your suggestion, it works :D
Of course is not a fix, but at leaste skype is now usable!
I've made a "killall notification-area-applet" launcher on my panel, so I just
have to hit it after I launch a qt application and everything works, that's how

Hey, I just switched from Windows to Ubuntu 12 hours ago so I might not
know what I am doing.
I also have the same problem with the 1 pixel icon in the panel so I
looked around and found this file. Run it in the terminal and select
restore panel to default. Now my skype icon is showing perfectly.
maybe Vincent Untz have some insight since this has been fixed by him
before..

I can confirm this behaviour with the current distro release and empathy
2.34. I'm running the nVidia drivers - if that's relevant?
To replicate the problem, change the empathy theme to either simple, clean, or
blue - and possibly classic.
