In 10.10 and before, Evolution alarms would appear in the system tray. With
Unity, there is no persistent trace of alarms associated with calendar events
after the notification bubble has disappeared.

The 7 year old Toshiba laptop running the Unity GUI has no issue with
playing videos. Seems to be a backwards compatibility issue with PCs
that must use the Ubuntu 10 style classic GUI. Hope that helps.

There is always an error message which appears before suspend and resume. I
could not read it because it disappeared quickly.
Yesterday suspend/resume worked three times fine. The fourth time the netbook
was frozen right after the error

Milan: Thanks. That seems to have at least partially fixed things, as
update-manager and users-admin are now properly prompting for password
and allowing access to locked items.
Unfortunately the Unlock button of gdmsetup still doesn't work, but
maybe something else is going on there? If I run it

If I try creating a CD by adding files in Brasero then buring directly
to disk (using defaults all the way through) brasero creates coasters
every time.
If I add files, then build an ISO, then burn the ISO instead, Brasero
seems to work fine.

This bug still exists in 10.04 LTS. The "(invalid encoding)" is just a
superfluous annoying warning, which makes renaming files more difficult
and cumbersome in Ubuntu (than e.g. on MS Windows). The "�" symbol is
clear and visible enough to be sufficient as indication of an invalid
encoding.

No, I can't! I was primarily interested in Unity, but it's very
interesting to see the pref gone from Gnome 2 also. I hadn't previously
tried starting classic -- at least on my setup, it does a pretty good
job of matching things up. Which means unfortunately they both fail in
the same way.

Braero will crash when create a project with Banshee. Way to reproduce:
- Start Banshee
- Select a Song you want to burn on cd
- Repeat the step with an other song
- Boom. Brasero will crash

Acknoledged, Marcel, it is in fact the same bug. Funny why it didn't
originally appear in my Mav install on October 2011. Pity that it can't
be corrected because of nasty Natty, itself far from stable.
