This rather obtrusive patch seems to fix the issue, not sure if it
breaks something though; some applications may expect that ::show is not
called multiple times without ::hide in between (or vice versa). This is
the best/simplest solution I can think of right now.

For me evolution starts and opens the _previous_ day instead of the day
I double clicked at.

This seems to be related to the selected time zone!
If I double click on Feb 22 my evolution starts up and shows Feb 21.
If I then go into /proc/[evolutionpid]/ and checks its command line it
is:
evolution calendar:///?startdate=20110221T23Z
Which means: Feb 21st, 11 pm. Since my time zone
The shutdown option in alpha 2 has moved to the 'Ubuntu' menu, this
should instead be in the 'shutdown' menu.

I inserted an empty 4.7 GB DVD+R and opened Brasero.
There I chose "new project" and "Video-DVD". Then I added the file. Afterwards
