If you add a second email account, you will have the From line and

I reinstalled lucid on the same system Anouar was using and I can't
reproduce this bug, even with lucid fully up-to-date. Following

pliut, I can't reproduce the error on the exact same system this error
existed initially. If you have a similar problem then please attach the
files in /var/log/dist-upgrade.

Embarrassingly, that sample does not actually trigger the bug I was
reporting. A mod can please feel free to delete the 10MB waste of
space, while I go back to the drawing board to figure out what
combination exactly can reproduce it. Unfortunately, the only files I
have that can reliably cause

Looks like this bug made it to maverick.
It also happens when sorting by filename by clicking on the "Name" column
header as well, I didn't notice that at first.

I don't see why it should be inconsistent. If you pick a new language in
gdm, then presumably you actually want to use this language (why else
did you do it?), so in this case we should really empty $LANGUAGE. We
just need to care about leaving $LANGUAGE alone if the selected language
in gdm alread
