Same symptoms for me today with Empathy ver 2.30.1. It seems to happen
randomly. I restarted empathy several times and at one point (a few
hours later) it opened with all contacts listed.

relatively or with absolute paths. Attached an Inkscape generated

please ignore #84 and use #81 for removal but using:
sudo ppa-purge ppa:mrpouit/ppa
sudo ppa-purge ppa:xubuntu-dev/ppa
and that's it, everything will go back to the previous setup.

I don't know if this will help but an interesting thing to note about
the nature of the problem is that when I tried recreating the same setup
as shown in the screenshot something interesting happened. Once I added
a launcher to the only other visible panel the invisible ones became
visible and cou
I would disagree with #4 because if a user can control the order that
the tasks are displayed and and scroll down if they want to, I don't
think there is any reason to completely hide tasks. Although that would
be a nice option to have as well.
