I have installed already two applications (gimp and devede) in two different machines. After installation, they didn't appear on the applications menu (in graphics and sound and video, respectively), until I logged out and in again. Therefore, until restarting the session, the only way to launch those applications was through the command line. By the way, I've installed both from the command line using apt-get install. This is Lucid, one on a 64bit machine, the other on a 32bit one. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- application does not appear in menu after installation https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/582811 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
