I've had this bug in lucid..I cannot reproduce it since evolution simply
started to respond..these were my last steps (probably not related to the

Just tired it. Totem open's up the file select dialog, but you can't really
choose a file because of the way the iPod structures its folders.
Ideally it should prompt to open Rhythmbox, or not be listed at all. Nothing
serious. Maybe a paper cut for next time?

Well, this is affecting me as well on released code?!? I "killall gnome-
panel" and it works fine, but from login I get no panels except for one
login (mine). The 2 other 'users' get no panels at all. I have set them
up with a launcher icon that kills the panels and resets teh panels and
all is fin
I have all proxy variables set and apt-get goes through the proxy
successfully.
However, whenever wget is called by apt-get (AFAIK) to download flash-
plugin or msttcorefonts, the proxy is *not* used so that downloads
timeout, break, etc. There seems to be no way around this.

I got some new information about this bug.
First of all it does happen on more than one of my computers, it's not
an isolated problem, to be more precise, both computers have been
upgraded from a 9.10 distro.

I think that somehow, Empathy, or the combination of Empathy and the MSN
network rejected my password. I was able to access the MSN messenger service
through aMSN, for example, and Pidgin too, without any problems.
The problem dissapeared when i changed my password from a long one (17
characters)
In 9.10 it wasn't possible too.

Actually, in all games (running natively). The games took control of the
keyboard, so it's not possible to change volume, mute sound, use
multimedia keys to stop/play musics.
Games using Wine doesn't have this problem. They don't capture
completely the keyboard (it's even possible to rotate compi

I agree with Liam: a .desktop file should be added to /etc/xdg/autostart
with an AutostartCondition.
However I am not sure whether reusing the same configuration key
(/apps/empathy/autoconnect) would be acceptable.

I'm very new to the whole launchpad scene. So i hope my copy+paste from
console (above post) was enough to support this as a bug.
But the curious part of me wants a blogger, a better ubuntu and wants to
know if there's a work-around / fix for this issue?
