An update (see gnome-bugs #599772): I can reproduce this problem on a VM
running Karmic. The problem is that Karmic's libgpod4 library is not
writing a required checksum to the iPod's iTunesDB database file.
Using Jaunty's libgpod4 library instead of Karmic's works, so the
problem is in libgpod4 0

Ah, here's the answer. I just replicated the issue from the command-
line:
f-spot --view IMG_*
No clicky. However if I run:
GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true f-spot --view IMG_*
Now I can click. I keep hitting this issue with Java apps, and now with
a Mono app - I'm starting to wonder if it should be an
upstream joke was refering to my last 5 bugs which have all been replyed
by you with "this is upstram report ..."

seems to appear when installing frei0r-plugins (example: for kdenlive).
When removing frei0r-plugins from my karmic I've no error messages at
all, and totem (and other apps) runs fine.

I had same problem when i tried to add the workspace switcher to my left
panel, I wasn't able to bring it back to the bottom panel.
Adding another panel (ie: Window Selector), then adding "workspace
switcher" works. You can remove your window selector panel afterwards.

exhibits an error in looking for log files that have been renamed.

I got this error but I was able to resolve it by changing the ownership
of pubring.gpg from root to me.
