How do you know the software hasn't changed? We don't have this problem
with Thunderbird, Outlook, or other clients. Evolution was working fine
and then all of the sudden it began to accumulate mail in the Outbox
folder after running (and sending mail successfully) for some period of

Yes, you can reproduce it by clicking at the section "radio" in the
Rhythmbox; after that, click at "Absolute Classic Rock". It won't play
and will show a circle with the exclamation (!). Some message will be
played by the radio, saying that they have some problems. I don't know,

upgrade the Jaunty and the new version of GNOME, the dictionary client stops

I fixed it right now (I guess).
At the website, I downloaded the "listen.pls" file from the radio and then
played at Rhythmbox. It worked. I suppose that the Radio ADM have changed the
host.

Will not upgrade to Karmic on that system at least until next year. Too
risky after all the amd64 & Gnome 2.26 problems.
