The hang usually shows something about sending programs terminate

And the speed problem doesn't seem to be from Brasero but from growisofs or
wodim.
Easily tested by calling growisofs directly, there is no change in the speed.

When as a user importing snippets it fails if
$HOME/.gnome2/gedit/snippets directory does not exist yet.
This is on Ubuntu Hardy with version 2.22.3
When importing a python snippet file I received following traceback :

I fear that you did not read the bug report properly. Please note that
we are *not* using gvfs, but the Neon code that is inside
OpenOffice.org, which was buggy (could not deal with namespaces). This
is quite clear from the bugreport at

This seems to be dependend on symlinks. On a new user this does not
occur. However, if I create a symlink in the user directory pointing to
/home/user the issue appears.
This wast most likely the cause for the earlier occurances also, since
wine creates symlinks in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles
I am reprioritizing the bug because a) the sole functions of the program
are to provide a screensaver and lock the screen, neither of which work
and b) the lack of screen locking is a security issue.
I am still seeing this issue with the following:
