Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
OS : Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Nautilus version : 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 (from "apt-cache policy nautilus") Doesn't happen when desktop_is_home_dir is set to false. When trying to create a directory/file using the right mouse button menu on the desktop ($HOME, actually, since desktop_is_home_dir is true), the icon of the newly created file is invisible, even though it is listed when calling "ls". Refreshing nautilus by hitting F5 makes it visible, and allows to rename it. This is different from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/419058 : the bug I encounter only happens when creating a file/folder using the right mouse button menu. Besides, #419058 can't be reproduced on my configuration. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can't create file/directory on desktop using right mouse button menu if desktop_is_home_dir https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/420488 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
