That's strange, if I change something in gtkfilechooser.ini
like
ShowSizeColumn=true
the column is visible when saving in Firefox.
so it seems firefox is using gtkfilechooser for me
isn;t it ?

Ah, the reason is that totem's apport package hook also changes the
affected package for crashes. It should not do that, only for bug
reports. For crashes, apport itself can figure out the package.
