Dean and I have been working on this bug to see if we could produce the
crash report that you have requested. /etc/default/apport was modified
so that "enabled=0" was changed to "enabled=1" and then we reproduces
the crash. After the crash, no file was found in /var/crash/ therefore

So I tested.
After I got the 'will hibernate in a bit unless you plug in' message, I
suspended. Then plugged in power, and resumed. The laptop went on its
merry way, and did not give me any funny stuff. So that's good. This
means the upstream bug is fixed.

I've done some more debugging now. The case where metacity runs but
immediately exits without setting SmRestartIfRunning (which also existed
in Jaunty) is not an issue, because metacity doesn't set a restart
command - so gnome-session won't restart it unless it was autostarted
when the session bega
