I upgraded my 2 Ubuntu systems to KDE 4:4.2.95-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa1. This problem reappeared on one of those systems (but not both). It comes from those files in my homedir:
-rw-r--r-- 1 bonnaud bonnaud 1466 2009-07-02 22:53 .kde/share/config/gtkrc -rw-r--r-- 1 bonnaud bonnaud 1500 2009-07-02 22:53 .kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0 Removing them cured the problem. Those files are taken into account because this environment variable is set in the environment of my KDE session: GTK2_RC_FILES=/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:/home/bonnaud/.gtkrc-2.0::/home/bonnaud/.kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0 I don't know which package is responsible for this, but I found this file: /usr/share/kubuntu-default-settings/gtk2-engines-qtcurve.rc.sh from package kubuntu-default-settings, that is responsible for a part of of the variable. Therefore, I am going to reassign this bug to the kubuntu-default-settings package... ** Package changed: gtk2-engines (Ubuntu) => kubuntu-default-settings (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - error in Clearlooks gtkrc file [jaunty] + KDE is setting an incorrect GTK rc file ** Description changed: - Binary package hint: gtk2-engines - Hi, here is an error message I get while using any GNOME application under KDE: $ gedit /usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:49: Invalid symbolic color 'bg_color' /usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:49: error: invalid identifier `bg_color', expected valid identifier ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 - Package: gtk2-engines 1:2.18.0-0ubuntu1 - SourcePackage: gtk2-engines Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686 -- KDE is setting an incorrect GTK rc file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352687 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk2-engines in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
