I had a similar problem with a brand new install of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty)
with a French keyboard.
At the first boot, the keyboard mapping was US. I simply used the gnome-
keyboard-properties application to add a French layout and make it the

Same happened to me. I was able to remove the duplicate sources by deleting
them from ~/.gnome2/gnome-dictionary/.desktop.
Also to remove the unwanted Thai source that appears by default I renamed it at
/usr/share/gdict-1.0/sources/.desktop.

Yes, It is reproducible on two jaunty machines that I've tried it on. Steps
I've been taking is just opening a movie in totem, after enabling the
plugin, openning View > Download Movie Subtitles, and click Find.
It says "Searching..." for a while then "Could not contact the OpenSubtitles
website."
It just happened to me at most a couple of days ago, on up-to-date (at
the time) Jaunty.
I switched to a console, killed the dialog this time, and when returning
to X I got a new dialog that worked.

xev list the key events for any key, including the non working keys.
I'll attach a text file showing the output of the xev.
I have tested it pressing the play (XF86AudioPlay), stop
(XF86AudioStop), previous (XF86AudioPrev), next (XF86AudioNext) keys,
that are the non working keys. Af
I think this should be fixed in the Epiphany package and sent upstream
to Debian if not already there. I can take a look at the Debian merge
and see if I can get this in as well.
