Hm, I tried dropping the patch on a Samsung NC10 and a Dell Latitude
D430. On both, brightness changes have far too many steps which renders
the brightness keys hard to use.

This bug still exists in Ubuntu 8.10:
sudo fdisk -l says USB disk is /dev/sdd5
gnome-mount -v -t /dev/sdd5 says that /dev/sdd5 is not a volume.
However doing a manual mount works.
If you restart GNOME after suspend with sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart,
automounting will work again.

hello,
I managed to reproduce the bug once, by changing the theme in the appearance
window. In fact the appearance window doesn't close, but I get an error message
which propose me to send a bug report.
