In my opinion, this feature is a necessity. I'm a college student and I
need to be able to print double sided copies 90% of the time. In
windows I just say "do both sides" click "go", and it prints the odd

Morgan, I have to contradict to you as I can confirm in Intrepid almost all I
have posted. I made tests with Intrepid live and with seahorse 2.24.1. In fact:
1) I imported a key with "import remote keys" button, I signed it (with "sign"
button or with "sign" option in the context menu opened wit
O_O OK, I'm playing with that checkbox some more, and I'm still not sure
we're seeing the same thing, but I *am* seeing some odd behaviour in the
Sign/Revoke button. Every time I check/uncheck the checkbox, the
signature list appears for a moment and the button goes to "Revoke"
mode, then wait 2 s
OK, I am becoming convinced that this defect is related to Bug 306310.
If I suspend programmatically (via pm-suspend or menu) the problem
described in this defect does not manifest. It only manifests if I
suspend via hot-key.

I have the same problem with a P4 2.4, 1 GB RAM, tested on all the
onboard (Gigabyte 8PE667 Ultra) USB ports (all of them are 2.0).

Update-manager doesn't get focus randomly. It has to ask for it. The
window manager (metacity) just does what it's told to do. Anything the
window manager does to prevent focus-stealing is a sub-optimal
solution, but it's a necessary one when applications are written
egocent
