I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop running pure up-to-date Hardy 32-bit.
Sometimes when I try to log out via System -> Quit -> Log Out, nothing
happens. i.e., the Quit menu closes but I stay logged-in and everything
is still running, as if I had just canceled.
seems that I misread the request, not sure it would be correct though,
having numlock activated is the standard configuration for many users
and not something to display a warning about

title as well, since I don't think it accurately reflects your issue
anymore. You don't want it to be theme agnostic, you just want it to
behave correctly when the theme doesn't specify one.

re-installing the firmware. Presumably an ipod bug (possibly from
