Well I was able to fix the problem AND keep my icon set, though the
average user isn't going to want to go through the hassle of this VERY
ugly fix.
It seems that the system monitor doesn't like to use .svg images as
icons; rather it likes .png images. So to resolve this issue I had to
'hide' my
Screenshot thumb showing lack of distinction between active and inactive
workspace - just visible, greater colour distance would be appreciated.

I can confirm it. With the patch applied I can browse my share as it
happened in Gutsy, a password is requested when needed. Without the
patch, password protected folders are simply not shown, even if I can
connect to them entering the full path manually.

Yes i'm able to connect with smbclient from command line. The connection
seem be stable.
Now i've added the ip address of my NAS (master browser in my network)
in the /etc/resolv.conf file ad seem to work fine now into nautilus (but

that remote directory where everything is extracted are set to 700.
While extracting to a local directory the rights are not touched.

I see this too on two computers since Hardy where g-p-m is disabled. The logout
dialog code checks to see if suspend and hibernate buttons are to be added and
asks g-p-m. However if it is not running it does not get the answer and it
blocks. g-p-m is started by this but possibly too late to answ
