Ok, forget my previous implementation idea, i was confused by the big mess
of the upstream tree. There is of course no apply_configuration in g-s-d, it's a
running daemon (damn i'm stupid). So xrandr_capplet talk to it with Xevents.
So i have an other implementation idea. Why not create an xevent
I think the medium classification for this is too low. This can really
impact your system. If you don't have a terminal window open and no
shortcut to one on the desktop you are effectively locked up. Alt+F2
fails me in this situation, too.

I would like to see the priority higher as well. I used to frequently
click the clock for a calendar, but now it hangs gnome-panel, each time

It happens randomly when switching songs, clicking 'next', usually in
shuffle mode. If I'm trying to replicate it could take only a few or a

I am having issues with the same error with only one of two arguments
being supplied to gedit.language_manager_get_language_from_mime_type()
when I try to run perltidy in gedit. As far as I know I have the
lastest versions of everything... any advice on how to fix it?

Rename it from something.zip to something (remove the .zip extension)

smb? you should have gvfs and ssh installed there no? could you also try
to attach gdb to gvfsd-smb after the mount and note if it's crashing or
something when the copy breaks?

The version number means "snapshot of -2 which will be supersedable by
-2". It was taken when -2 was in the works and no "ubuntu" was added in
the version number to allow superseding with whatever next Debian upload
we like (final -2 for instance). I could as well use -1+hardy1 instead
next time
Could those who still ahve the issue run /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd -r and copy
to a comment what is written when the copy breaks? Does gvfs-ls and
gvfs-copy work when nautilus stops working? Could you try to attach gdb
to gvfsd-ssh before copying and not if there is any issue there?
