I get the same thing.
After logging out the system drops into a console for a split second.

I have just applied all available updates. Then I restarted Hardy.

Setting the value with root permission automatically seems to set it for
my regular user with the same values. I just verified this on my system.
So after editing the values, both my root and regular user on my system have
the exact same values showing for both keys. I don't know what is overridi

Similar problem here, solved by uninstalling the xserver-xgl.
Acer Aspire 3023WLMi ATI Radeon Mobility X700, on fglrx;
Gnome displayed bad GTK theme, no entry chimes, some programs crashing, the

Every time I reboot I get the sound volume back to 100%, but the sound
works fine apart from this. It's just *very* annoying to have to reset
the volume every time I boot the PC. I set the volume from the volume

Yes, certainly (only once though, my remembers credentials are
remembered). I'll post more details next week, when I have access to the

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
do we really need to see the Virtual Memory, Resident Memory, Writable
Memory, Shared Memory, X Server Memory and just plain Memory of every
process by default? This makes the number of columns far too long so
that the horizontal scro
just made an update and rebootet, same problem, it always hangs after
exactly the same amount of data, see the attached picture showing the
progress dialog which doesn't move for more than half an hour already.
There are 1264 files in the folder to be copyed.

This bug is still present in the hardy beta (hardy-desktop-amd64.iso
from march 28). I attach the complete log of my gdb session. It took me
7 tries at gdb just starting rhythmbox and closing it right after it
starts. It happens when I have an Audio-CD inserted.

Reopened as suggested in comment above. Bug still present and
repeatable. Backtrace attached in earlier comment.
