I can confirm this; same exact problem on my second generation Macbook
Core 2 Duo, with the same kernel and gnome-power-manager versions as
above (running latest 8.04 beta). Using xbacklight (which uses the
RandR extension), though, I can adjust the brightness from the terminal
successfully.

This is resolved. The one PC used TightVNC server and connected and the
others used RealVNC and closed. When they were switched to TightVNC
server, they worked great. I like Vinagre a lot.

I have a Lexmark X5150 All in One printer. The driver that was
configured for the printer when I installed Ubuntu doesn't work. I get
a click noise and the connection stops.
I located a linux driver for Lexmark 5000 on the print setup option with

I'm confirming this exact behavior under Hardy Beta. I can see events
but I cannot make changes. Error messages:
(evolution:32022): calendar-gui-CRITICAL **: e_week_view_add_event: assertion
`end > add_event_data->week_view->day_starts[0]' failed
BBDB spinning up...

The key error message was related to me trying to "publish" a calendar
to google. The real issue I believe is the assertion error.
