Apparently, the ".php" extension that my files have does the trouble.
When I rename the files to anything that has no association, (anything but .php
.html .exe etc.) Evince opens the file correctly.

Same problem. Using nvidia 8600GT. Settings are not remembered using
either Preferences->Screen Resolution or Administration->Screens and
Graphics. My monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050, it keeps
defaulting to 1400x1050.

I managed to find the cause of my problem. I had "Watch my library for
new files" selected in preferences. I'm not sure whether the samba
share was the problem, or whether it was the fact that I have many files
in my directory that are not music files and hence have no ID3

I changed the setting in System, Settings, keyboard by adding Finland to the
selection. Special characters does work for the new setting but are lost after
system reboot. They have to bee selected again.

I can confirm what kripkenstein said: The bug appears not only on a
fresh install of hardy. It appears when switching the language with the
language-selector tool too.

On up-to-date (feb 10) hardy amd64 upgraded from up-to-date gutsy via
update-manager -d totem (with gstreamer) crashes when trying to scroll
(forward or rewind) a movie using the mouse wheel. Scrolling works fine
using the scrollbar direct
Same bug with a "Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000" using Hardy Alpha 4.

when going to system>quit it takes more than 1 minute to display the

I would like the option of using GThumb.
I simply want to import the photos from my Canon Powershot G9 into a
directory, not part of a photo viewing system. I cannot find a way to do
this with F-Spot.
Now when I try to use GThumb it hangs.

pdf files which actually contain scanned images of pages of text don't
display well. Using evince these are unreadable except when close to or
above 100%, - however xpdf does a good job of scaling the bitmap and
hence displays this type of pdf much
