No, it only happes with Theora (ogg) videos, you can clearly notice the
musical note icon appearing on top the of the thumbnail, that also
happens only with theora videos. A .mpg video for example does not get
that musical note cloud at all, it just shines like a normal nautilus
icon would do.

I still have that kind of problem. I am able to edit text files with vim on a
windows fileserver mounted like
/sbin/mount.cifs //serverName ./localFolderName iocharset=utf8,
username=myUserName
but while trying to edit them with Gedit I get the error Can not save file xxx.

Ubuntu better. It works if you set your proxy settings with gnome-
network-preferences, recently tested here and it works perfect.
