Yes, that would make sense because if it's a modal dialog, you can't
type in the main application window anyway. That's the only case I see
where "stealing" the focus is OK, and it's not really stealing because
that's what a modal dialog does *by definition*.

smaller window on top of it (see attachment).

stores the password to the GNOME keyring. If you refuse the access to it
or type a wrong password it's likely it fallback to the standard

This is quite a problem in edgy. After updating to it, I couldn't see
grub menu because the splashimage got deleted during some ubuntu-
artwork. Perhaps update-grub could check whether the referenced image
actually exist and comment out splashimage= line if it doesn't?

When I open a file and edit it a little, everything is normal. When I
continue some other work (like programming a website) and leave gimp
alone for a while, it crashes after a few minutes. I didn't touch gimp
in that time and it happens on a regular timebase. I have uploaded

I have 2 optical drives. If I start rhythmbox and insert an audio cd in
say drive 1, rhythmbox will recognise the cd, find information and cover
art for it, but will refuse to play it (stop sign next to the track
name). Now if remove the CD from the drive and put it in the sec
