Though this is "expired" I wanted to drop a comment anyway. This is
still happening on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04. For me, specifically, with
Google Chrome and Brave.

Doubtful. You may want to assign it to the Unity & Empathy teams in
general to investigate as it happens with the 2D compositer.

Title:
"Always on Visible Workspace" lost intermittently...
To manage not
English is my first language and I've done my best to re-read the
problem description here. I think it is comprehensive enough to
reproduce the issue.
In point form:
o Have an open Empathy chat window.
o Tell the window to remain visible on all workspaces.
o Double click the Empathy contact list
i can not understand your bug i guess your english so thats why i was asking.
you can not confirm your own bug somebody else can do this.
