Ah, yes; I see that now in the confirmation dialog.
And yes, after upgrading gnome-session today, the Ctrl-Alt-Del dialog is
fixed.
And now I've just found another instance of this in gdm; opening a new
task :/

The confirmation dialog still use "Switch Off" in both title and button
(updated 10 seconds ago). Check the file src/dialog.c in master branch
too.

Per my updated Lucid, "Shut Down" is appearing in the menu applet, but
the dialog box that appears asking you to confirm your action still uses
"Switch Off" in the window title and the button title.

I'm an en_US speaker who supports this change. "Switch Off" just feels
very strange, and it's not immediately obvious what it does. "Turn Off"
would be the best of the alternatives--when talking about any electronic
device (phones, tvs, etc.), we say "I'm going to turn off the tv."
