Evolution freezes my system up completely (except the cursor, I should
say.) It doesn't happen when evolution first launches, but only when I
go to "Contacts" and try selecting a specific contact (any specific
contact, rather). I'm attaching the trace I produced following the debug

Frustratingly, the problem isn't manifesting at the moment. I've
installed the dbgsym packages, so if it starts again I'll be able to
grab a better trace.

I've got what sounds like the same problem, except it freezes on opening
rather during use, which makes evolution unusable. A backtrace is
attached; to get it I launched evolution and waited for 5 minutes to try
to rule out performance as a problem. If you look at thread 12, to my
untutored eye it
The problem has gone away now that I have reduced the number of folders
I was subscribed to. The problem arose when it was trying to check too
many folders with large contents. I think it was just a performance
issue.
