This bug basically broils down to the loss of the "custom" radio button,
and the new, invasive approach to settings management that the
appearence dialog/control center takes (it breaks into and modifies
"custom" settings)

Update: It seems CCSM (CompizConfig) doesn't work *at all*
To reproduce:
1. Install CCSM
2. play with the settings. Turn something noticeable, such as the desktop
cube, on
3. If you can see the effect of step 2 (else goto step 4), go to
System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual effects tab, and cl
