activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If

I have the same problem with Hardy release. Mouse cursor moves jerky, desktop
applications work slowly, but if I run any fullscreen application (like OpenTTD
or Tuxracer) everything works fine in this particular application. The compiz
'water' plugin (the one with the rain drops effect) also see

I just installed a lot of patches today that included the kernel,
nvidia, libc6, etc. and I am still having the problem. I am getting
quite frustrated as it has been a week and I can't really use my

I booted from the Hardy beta amd64 install CD and used the run option
under safe graphics mode (had to use safe as it looks like it was trying
to use the nv driver which doesn't work with DVI).
