In Lucid, I don't even see the gconf keys anymore? Is it not possible to
set the scaling governor anymore in gnome-power-manager?

The bug is still present in Hardy and Intrepid.
I have read in bug #292148 that upstream have removed all of the cpufreq code
in gnome-power-manager for Intrepid. I don't know if this is correct as an
explanation about this wasn't given in that bug report.
Anyway I think that Ubuntu should allow
I think it is a good idea to enable cpufreq_show in gnome-power-
manager/ui in gconf by default.
Why not add conservative option too??
