Removing the account and recreating it does not work.
When restarting evolution without an account a setup wizard is
displayed. In this wizard text is randomly removed from the gui (labels
etc) when writing on the keyboard. Very annoying and makes it hard to

This is not a bug; newly started terminal emulators should not start
login shells, since they are already part of a login session. They are
correct in running sh/bash as a non-login shell, which is the same
behavior as would be observed when, for example, starting an escape
shell from the ftp/telne
There's a comment in bug 354264 that explains the cause of this problem
and provides a patch to fix it. The bug is in the ubuntu patchset and
the maintainer of those should consider the supplied patch and releasing
a bugfix via the ubuntu repos.

I can confirm this behaviour as well. I upgraded to 9.04 today, from
8.10. Imported photos goes into my home directory, and not into Photos.
F-spot is configured to import into "Photos", and the folder does exist.

disks or USB sticks, gnome-volume-manager prompts me for a password, but

1. Check "rotate 90 degrees" and "landscape" in page setup. Preview is OK.
2. Go to print dialog. Orientation then defaults to "portrait" in this dialog,
which is reflected in preview and the actual printout. (This is another known
bug.) So one has to select "landscape" there a

I *think* this bug is related to the fact that I have copied my /home from an
earlier installation (Edgy).
There are "themes" without screenshot in the list. Is there any way to clean up
the themes list?

This happens all the time!
I tried to do like you said but it ended up with a X crash. After that
my user account was totally broken so I had to remove .gconf directory.
I do not dare to open gnome-theme-manager anymore

When closing the process is still there (looked with top) and using 100%
CPU time on one of my cores.
I think this is related to the crashes that corrupts gconf and makes it
impossible to start gnome. I just had to wipe my .gconf directory.

I have the same problem. Can't login right now.
I did also save the /home partiion when upgrading.
THAT uncommon isn't that so this should be fixed.
