Yes, gnome-control-center now detects XF86 keys. However when the
hotkeys are used, they either open a different application than which
the hotkey was set to, or none at all.
In other words gnome-control-center now senses XF86 keys, but either the

It is not the same bug, the one I reported was for the Mouse and
Touchpad settings, bug #805483 is for the Keyboard settings.

Hmm that's odd, it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. When it did
happen, it happened every time but now, I cannot re-create the error
anymore.
I guess it's good that it's fixed but I am curious as to how it got
