Hi Jessie
Firstly, this bug does not seem to affect anything that I (as an end
user, like yourself) could detect. Clearing the message seemed enough
to be able to proceed with booting & using the PC.
I have now moved on to 11.10. This bug went away by 11.04. I don't
know how 11.10 would go in

problem, it is annoying.

Hi,
I just did a little more testing. It seems to remember the last used
application for .jpg & .avi, but in an inconsistent way.

This may be a new bug, or just a nuisance...
I was a subscriber to the original bug; the workaround was OK.

Hi Sebastien,
Thanks for looking at this.
Less than 1 week after I submitted this bug report, I upgraded to 11.04,

Do you still want me to try & do something about this? If so, I need

I am also experiencing the problems similar to bug #773582 "Windows

Is it possible that #783728 could be a duplicate of #773582, with a
slightly different manifestation?
