This isn't about the tool, its about the Documentation being in Yelp,
pointing to the old tool. I reported it in the Ubuntu Documentation bugs list.
I was just saying 'Where is this in the gnome-control-center?' to
invalidate the Document help :)

and also in Gutsy at the same location. (by the way Control Center is not in
System > Preferences in Gutsy)

Um.. well you go to System > Preferences > Theme
and Simple theme isn't there, you want me to show a pic of it missing from the
list.
You can check any default feisty install i imagine. I've attached a pic
(which covers most of the themes).

In previous Ubuntu releases there is a 'thin' or 'simple' theme choice in
gnome-theme-manager.

My apologies for not responding before. Being new to Linux, I am kinda
afraid I might be just saying something stupid and wasting your time.
Anyway, I found out the problem is related to my MSI-K8TM mobo (Via-
based chipset). As I understand there will be a Quirk-MSI-K8T
kernelpatch for Dapper to
tware, but I'm learning it. I've looked if
similar bug has been reported and found some, though not exactly the same.
