I'm suffering from this , but only with gnome-sound-recorder. arecord
from the command line works fine; so does Audacity. Fiddling with
alsamixer makes no difference to sound-recorder (but makes the expected
differences to arecord). Machines is Acer Extensa with 64-bit Natty,
lshw -C multimedia giv
Confirmed: Here in the UK it says "Ubuntu Help Center" [sic] - strange
American spellings.

I came upon this problem when using efax to view received faxes. Like
the original reporter of this bug, I was hamstrung by the confidential
nature of the data, but I've managed to reproduce the problem using some
scans that are definitely neither confidential nor subject to copyright.
The problem
I attempted to upgrade (back when it was alpha 2), but the process
bombed out so I installed Karmic over the top of a copy of a happy
Jaunty install. The system is stable, upgrading OK, and I'm keeping it
up to the minute with updates.
Currently, running 2.6.31-10-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 10
Using Karmic with latest updates, 2.6.31-9-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Sun
Aug 30 17:39:26 UTC 2009 x86_64, I still get the "Agent admitted"
message, but am then asked for the appropriate passphrase and then ssh
connects appropriately. Unsetting SSH_AUTH_SOCK suppresses the "Agent
admitted" message.

I upgraded to Jaunty last night, and now I have this problem
(2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64

Unlike the previous commenter, I was getting no request for my password

If an HTML e-mail portion contains a div with
style="background:url(cid:x) #ddd", and an attachment with cid
x, Evolution doesn't tie the two up. In fact, it fails to parse the
style entirely, neither recognizing the background image nor
