I confirm this bug on Jaunty too. Very boring.
As Sebastien Bacher said, un-checking the "GNOME Login Sound" in Startup
Application" or removing the line seems to work until you reopen the window and
see that the line is back.

Confirming, this bug triggers when reaching full charge (was able to
reproduce it 3 times).
