yes, I encountered the case that the cursor can still move and it is
wayland session for sure. We need more time to figure out a promised way
to reproduce the issue. Please stay tuned. Thanks for your help and

It didn't occur to me at the time that this would be Xorg and not
Wayland. So there's a chance it's actually Xorg that's frozen. Although
usually that means the cursor wouldn't move, whereas it sounds like the
cursor is still moving here.

Those commands do change the GUI and mute-status, but that does not affects the
headsets "muted/unmuted" voice.
So whatever is sent to the headset, is something else than the usual "mute"

Try adding these to /etc/environment
