It sounds like gputop is reporting main memory usage rather than
graphics memory usage. But either way 3GB of RSS is too high.
Please start by removing all local extensions:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
rm -rf extensions
and then log in again.
We need to remove extensions from the equatio
Please run:
apport-collect 2083104
so we can get the relevant system information. This won't happen by
default for bugs that are assigned to mutter instead of gnome-shell.

Dear All,
I tried to Install KDE Plasma using the following command:
sudo apt install kde-plasma-desktop
I went to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom
I toggled the Desktop zoom switch off and on then off
Then I did:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3
and chose gdm3 as the default Desktop
** Also affects: yaru-theme (Ubuntu)
