Dear All,

I tried to Install KDE Plasma using the following command:
  sudo apt install kde-plasma-desktop

I went to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom
I toggled the Desktop zoom switch off and on then off

  Then I did:
  sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3
and chose gdm3 as the default Desktop Environment

  The problem was solved.

Either the Zoom feature was the reason for the lag, or installing kde
reset the settings to proper ones.

This can be detected by uninstalling kde but I'm not planning to do
this.

So, you can try one of the approches and see if this solves it.

Best Regards,
Omar AbdelWahab
