There are no errors in the journal / systemctl status for fprintd aside
from a timeout.
There is no output when running 'sudo /usr/lib/fprintd/fprintd'
manually; but the command eventually exits.
This laptop does not have a fingerprint reader at all, and I have
definitely never configured to auth

the Dash to Dock Gnome extension. For the sake of clarity, I am not
using the Ubuntu Dock extension.

Further to comment #5, the issue was resolved by the application's
renaming which adequately describes its function in the UK so closing as
fixed.
