Keyboard layout
I have a similar version of this bug. It's happened since I upgraded
from 13.10 (64-bit) to 14.10 and it causes the layout to reset to EN_US
qwerty every time I click on any text box.
I only have EN_US Dvorak and EN_GB qwerty enabled, with dvorak as my
default, so EN_US qwerty is not even enabled.

OK I got your steps reproduced and yes it's definitely related to the
location and the prompt for whether you allow the scope to get your
location or not.
It seems like the interrupted input stream gets the dash into a between-

@Ruben: for an LTS the process requires that things be fixed upstream first
(evolution & 14.10 in that case) and then backported to the stable release.
