How to reproduce:
Go to System-Settings->Shortcuts-and-Gestures->Global Keyboard
Shortcuts->Plasma-Desktop-Shell
Change the key for Systemtray-Klipper-Tray-8
Apply the changes
Logout
Login and check the setting. Keyboard shortcut is back to default.
