reboot for system wide settings to take effect. Logging out or switching
user is not enough to make the new first language be used on the login

I am experiencing this problem on Natty. I recently re-installed, but
initially didn't experience the problem. It has only been the last few
days that this very annoying bug has hit me. I have tried lots of
"fixes" but still have screen to black to full desktop all the time.

When connecting to gmail.com using Empathy, it says the certificate is
self-signed. I don't believe this is the case.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Add a Google Account in Natty
2) Upgrade to Oneiric
3) Fire up Empathy
You should see a certificate error / warning.
