new place would still produce a new Nautilus window but it would not

I even use Emerald decorator without problems (but it's hacked PPA version).
The other bug with Compiz remained - when I switch window blur on and off -

major overhaul as was done to compiz is undertaken, making it impossible
for users to use the previous version (as was the case here, where natty
users *could not* go back to 0.8.6, until Gui

i "lock screen" comeback later I don't get a log
Just for the record: the workaround Robin mentioned didn't work for me.
I'm on Virtualbox and my setup behaves just like Rocko's description.
The starting theme looks like Ambiance and after some seconds the screen
looks pretty much like Paolo's screenshot.

Thanks for chasing up on this bug. Have only just installed 11.4 and so
far so good.
Boot problems are another story :-( however will let you know in the
near future if this problem arises again with evolution.
