I believe this is related to having the menu shown. I was having the
same problem, turned on the menu so it was visible, and then tried
pasting again, and the problem seems to be fixed. I've even closed and
reopened the terminal, and it seems fixed. Perhaps it will return after
a reboot?

17th Jan 2011. There is still no updated gtk-vnc package for ubuntu
10.10. Who do we have to chase to get an update ? VNC without cut and
paste is useless. In the meantime I've moved to using xtightvncviewer
which feels like a step backwards.

When I press the calendar button in evolution mail & calendar, my whole
system just freezes. I have to restart the whole computer, cause nothing
works. Very annoying, since I can't keep my calendar up to date like
this...

@Sebastien Bacher it's a crash because nautilus will restart everytime.
Desktop icons and all the oped nautilus windows are closed. I tried with
multiple usb sticks and hdds but the same effect. Sometimes, but rarely apears
the window with the safely removing please wait warning.
