I can also say removing the nautilus-clamscan package dropped my

I think this bug was closed in error.
I can't think of any reason why any of the above changes should cause
empathy to loose all accounts.
Furthermore, the only changes I made to my PAM config files was what is
required to support LDAP authentication. There is no reason this should

Oh i see. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Are you sure that Xchat is
compatible with that feature? I know empath and pidgin are compatible
with the tray but I dont think Xchat is. I tried it over here as well

I managed to get the machine running.
Then, I installed the current software updates.
Now, I cannot login anymore via gdm.
Neither logging in as a user works (.xsession-errors states that
/home//.profile cannot be read
I am testing Ubuntu 10.10 rc1. This crash happens whenever I "Safely
Remove Drive" my USB-HDD containing 2 partitions. Ubuntu 10.04 kept
complaining to be "Unable to stop" this drive (Bug #466575). I consider
this crash to be worse than the unnecessary dialog in 10.04!

Thanks for following up. This bug report is being closed due to your

For future reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by
clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then choosing a

Cheese Upstream had set the bugzilla bug as a dup of
