1) Unmute audio and set volume to something loud. (e.g. Maximum volume)
2) Mute audio
3) Increase volume (by using a key combination)
Symptom:
Audio unmuted and volume reverts to previous volume before
1st generation 1GB shuffle, same issue. Changes are not saved on the
ipod. This doesn't seem to be working in any program anymore. I did
have to uninstall libgpod-common in order to get the ipod to mount
itself. It was working in Karmic under KDE, I am running Gnome on Lucid
now.

when I hover over it and I can't click on it. I don't need to close

This bug has 2 tasks "GNOME Games" and "gnome games (Ubuntu)". The "(Ubuntu)"
one always reflects the status of the bug in an released version of Ubuntu
(development versions included), while the other one reflects the status of the
upstre
Clarification: The patch isn't in gthumb "trunk", it is in gthumb-2-10
branch.
I'm not sure if another release will be made from the gthumb-2-10 branch
(developers are focusing on 2.11.x), so Ubuntu should probably apply the
patch directly.

A work-around is to not have any unsupported file formats in the camera.
If you have movies, for instance, you will hit this bug.
It's fixed in upstream with a simple patch that clears error flags that
failing to produce a thumbnail sets.
That patch is already applied to gthumb trunk. If someone

For the missing dao problem (Brasero now seems to have a few other issues I
have not seen before) I have found you can use gconf-editor to set the dao
flag. It is located under apps/brasero/config and is a checkbox.
This is easier than using wodim from the command line
Using the lastest Ubuntu release 10.4 I don't have any problem with this.
