greeter? I haven't tried it, but my guess is that is probably the case.

I often prefer to use the terminal full screen and disable the scrollbar
altogether, especially when the programs I'm using there can't make use
of it properly. Most of the things I use the terminal for don't require
a scrollbar at all, please don't remove that option.

When I open a file with gedit, I simply see the frame with no contents.
If I launch with sudo, everything is fine. I tried a re-install from
the repository and that did not solve my problem. Seems like a
ownership or rights problem...

I tried updating a filter to move emails into a different folder since a
mailing list changed names. That would seem simple enough, right? Not
so, evolution has now completely broken my filtering and everything is
landing in the inbox instead.
